Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tourism representatives from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Belarus discussed expanding direct business contacts and developing joint tourism products at a meeting in Dushanbe on 22 September, the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The meeting brought together a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee, representatives of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan, Belarus’ National Tourism Agency and tour operators from the three countries.
The Uzbek side presented information on ongoing tourism reforms, the development of tourism infrastructure, the creation of new tourism products and government support measures for businesses in the sector, including available subsidies.
The main focus was on expanding cooperation among tour operators from the three countries. The sides discussed developing joint tourism products and promoting them in third-country markets.
Particular attention was given to integrating tourism routes in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan into tour packages involving Belarus. Potential joint offerings could cover cultural and educational, ecological, gastronomic, medical and pilgrimage tourism.
Participants also exchanged views on further developing practical cooperation. Proposed formats included reciprocal familiarization tours and presentations, B2B meetings and joint participation in international tourism exhibitions.
Uzbek representatives invited tourism companies from Tajikistan and Belarus to participate in the 31st Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” (TITF–2026), which will be held in Tashkent on 25–27 November. An investment forum will also take place as part of the fair.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to continue regular dialogue between private-sector representatives, jointly develop new initiatives and ensure their practical implementation.
