Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — International hotel group Minor Hotels has signed a franchise agreement to open an NH Tashkent hotel in the Uzbek capital. The property is scheduled to begin operations in early 2027.

The signing ceremony took place on 4 November 2026.

The event was attended by Sanjar Tajiyev, Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee, as well as representatives of Minor Hotels management and NH Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel will have 151 rooms, including standard rooms, Junior Suites and Deluxe rooms. Facilities will include a restaurant serving national and international cuisine, a gym and a conference hall for business meetings, international conferences and other events.

According to Tajiyev, cooperation with international hotel operators gives Uzbekistan greater access to global booking platforms, corporate clients and international sales channels. This is expected to support the development of business and event tourism, attract foreign visitors, create jobs and increase exports of tourism services.

The opening of NH Tashkent will expand the range of internationally branded accommodation in the capital and strengthen infrastructure for business travel and MICE tourism.

According to the Tourism Committee, 32 international hotel brands currently operate in Uzbekistan, managing a total of 52 hotels.

The NH brand was established in 1978 with the opening of its first hotel in Spain. NH Hotels & Resorts now operates 201 hotels and resorts in 25 countries.

International group Minor Hotels manages more than 560 properties across six continents. Its portfolio also includes the Anantara, Avani, NH Collection, nhow, Oaks and Tivoli brands.
