Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan held a series of joint tourism presentations in Germany, Sweden and Finland from 19 to 22 October 2026, promoting combined travel routes and strengthening cooperation with European tourism businesses.
The roadshows took place in Berlin, Munich, Stockholm and Helsinki, with the aim of raising the profile of both countries in the European tourism market.
The events brought together more than 140 participants representing over 80 organizations, including tourism industry professionals and media representatives from Germany, Sweden and Finland.
During the presentations, representatives of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan showcased their countries' historical and cultural heritage, tourism attractions and travel opportunities.
Particular attention was given to joint itineraries connecting Uzbekistan's historic cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva with Azerbaijan's Baku, Shamakhi and Sheki.
The proposed routes would allow visitors to explore the architecture, history, national traditions and cuisine of both countries within a single trip.
The roadshows also featured business-to-business (B2B) meetings, during which tourism companies and tour operators discussed potential partnerships and opportunities to develop joint travel packages.
The discussions focused on adapting tourism products to the preferences and requirements of European travellers, as well as expanding cooperation between tourism businesses.
The initiative is intended to strengthen business contacts with international partners, make more effective use of the two countries' tourism resources and attract more international visitors.
Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan plan to promote not only their individual destinations but also integrated travel itineraries combining the tourism offerings of both countries.
