Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Authorities in Uzbekistan have placed 37-year-old Ravshan Mukhitdinov on an international wanted list. His name has been included in Interpol’s “red notice” database.
According to published information, Mukhitdinov faces charges under several articles of the Criminal Code. These include intentional destruction or damage to property, participation in the creation or leadership of an organized armed group, and hooliganism.
In total, the sanctions under these articles provide for penalties ranging from restriction of liberty to imprisonment for periods of 3 to 15 years.
It is noted that Ravshan Mukhitdinov resides in Türkiye and is engaged in business activities. He also serves as Vice President for Financial Affairs at Dünya Engelliler Vakfı (DEV), an Istanbul-based organization focused on supporting people with disabilities.
Interpol materials clarify that a “red notice” is not an arrest warrant. It is an international request to law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally detain a person for the purpose of extradition or other legal proceedings. It is issued based on a court decision or an arrest warrant provided by the requesting country.
