Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A total of 529 work-related accidents were registered in Uzbekistan between January and July 2026, resulting in 146 deaths, according to the press service of the State Labor Inspectorate.

Of the total number of incidents, 24 were group accidents, 372 resulted in severe consequences, and 132 were fatal.

In total, 580 people were affected in the workplace. Severe injuries were sustained by 402 people, minor injuries by 22, and another 156 workers died.

The highest number of accidents occurred in industry, with 168 cases, and construction, with 158 cases.

Tashkent recorded the highest number among the regions with 95 accidents. Tashkent region registered 58 such incidents, while Kashkadarya region recorded 38.

A total of 11.379 billion soums was recovered in favor of injured workers and the families of the deceased in the form of lump-sum and monthly payments.
