Uzmetkombinat, SINO STEEL Discuss New Blast Furnace Construction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — JSC Uzmetkombinat and SINO STEEL Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited have discussed the implementation of projects to expand the enterprise's metallurgical capacity, including the construction of a new blast furnace and the commercial development of several deposits.

The negotiations took place in China during a business trip by a delegation from Uzmetkombinat, according to JSC Uzmetkombinat.

The delegation was led by Chairman of the Board Bakhodir Abdullayev. The parties discussed prospects for further increasing the plant's production capacity, introducing modern engineering and technological solutions, improving production processes, and creating new industrial facilities.

One of the key topics was the construction of a new blast furnace on the premises of Uzmetkombinat.

In addition, the parties reviewed matters related to the geological study of the Tebinbulak, Temirkan, and Zakar-Chuyan deposits. The agenda included organizing drilling operations and further commercial development of the deposits.

The discussed projects are aimed at strengthening Uzmetkombinat's raw material base, increasing the enterprise's technological potential, and creating new metallurgical capacities.

The talks represented another stage in the enterprise's international cooperation to implement major industrial projects.
