Mirziyoyev Approves Education Agreement with Türkiye

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved an agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Türkiye on cooperation in education, signed on 29 January 2026 in Ankara.

The head of state signed the relevant decree on 1 August in accordance with Article 22 of the Law "On International Treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan was designated as the body responsible for implementing the agreement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to send notification to the Turkish side regarding Uzbekistan's completion of internal procedures necessary for the agreement to enter into force, as well as to inform it about the agency authorized to implement it.

The Cabinet of Ministers and relevant ministries and departments were instructed to ensure control over the execution of the agreement's provisions after its entry into force.
