New Azerbaijani Ambassador Presents Copies of Credentials to Uzbek Foreign Minister

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, Rashad Mammadov, on 27 July 2026.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current status and future prospects of bilateral relations. Saidov highlighted the historical and cultural ties binding the two nations, as well as the high level of trust between their state leaders.

Special attention was paid to maintaining the momentum of political dialogue, expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, and advancing joint projects in transport and logistics.

The Uzbek Foreign Minister expressed confidence that Rashad Mammadov's diplomatic experience will contribute to further strengthening Uzbek-Azerbaijani allied relations and advancing practical cooperation between the two countries.
