Uzbekistan and Hong Kong agree on museum cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan and the Hong Kong Palace Museum have signed an agreement on long-term cooperation aimed at developing interaction in the museum sphere, preserving cultural heritage, and implementing joint scientific projects.

The document was signed by the Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, and the Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, Louis Ng, during a visit of the Uzbek delegation to China.

The agreement provides for the organization of joint exhibitions, the conduct of scientific research, cooperation in the field of museum management, restoration and preservation of cultural values, as well as the exchange of professional experience and talent training.

In addition, the parties agreed to develop expert exchange programs and strengthen interaction in studying and popularizing historical heritage.

As noted, the new partnership has become another step in the development of cultural diplomacy between Uzbekistan and China. The implementation of these joint initiatives is expected to showcase the rich historical and spiritual heritage of Central Asia to a broader international audience.
