Uzbekistan and China discuss bilateral agenda

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Mirvokhid Azimov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Yu Jun, on 16 July 2026.

During the talks, the parties reviewed pressing issues on the Uzbek-Chinese bilateral agenda and discussed interaction between the two countries within multilateral frameworks.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the "Central Asia – China" format.

Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their readiness to continue close interaction in preparing for upcoming events at the highest and high levels.
