Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent Metro continues to renew its rolling stock. On 20 July, three additional modern train sets were delivered to the capital’s metro system.

Earlier, on 12 July, the metro also received three new train sets. Taking into account deliveries made this year, the total number of modern rolling stock units has reached 47.

Tashkent Metro said it plans to purchase another eight four-car train sets by the end of 2026.

The fleet renewal programme is aimed at improving the quality and safety of passenger services, reducing train intervals and gradually replacing older-generation carriages with modern rolling stock.

The increase in the number of new trains is expected to improve metro operations and enhance passenger service conditions.
