Mirziyoyev, Jordan's King Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Jordan's King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein to discuss the further development of bilateral cooperation and current international issues.

At the beginning of the conversation, King Abdullah II congratulated Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wishing him good health and well-being, and extended wishes of peace, prosperity and well-being to the people of Uzbekistan.

The two leaders said that the substantive talks previously held in Samarkand and the agreements reached there had opened a new stage in the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Jordan.

During the conversation, they welcomed the expansion of inter-parliamentary contacts, the development of business cooperation and the growing cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries.

The leaders also stressed the importance of continuing political dialogue, further deepening trade and economic cooperation and carefully preparing for upcoming high-level events.

Mirziyoyev and King Abdullah II also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
