Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan is continuing state support measures aimed at developing modern tourism infrastructure, improving hotel service quality, and attracting international hotel brands.

Under the subsidy program established by Presidential Resolution No. PP-238 of 27 July 2023, the DoubleTree by Hilton international hotel, which opened in Tashkent in April 2026, was allocated state subsidies totaling nearly 12 billion soums.

A ceremony to present the subsidy certificate was held with the participation of leadership from the Tourism Committee, representatives of the hotel industry, and news media.

In accordance with the procedure approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 550, the hotel received 10.725 billion soums for creating 165 hotel rooms. In addition, an extra subsidy of US$99,000 was granted to the facility for bringing an international hotel brand to Uzbekistan.

Alexander Bakanov, managing director of DoubleTree by Hilton, noted that state support was an important factor in the project's implementation.

"Today, very favorable conditions have been created in Uzbekistan for the development of the hotel business. State subsidies, incentives, and practical support for investors are an important factor in implementing major international projects. Such support not only stimulates investors, but also contributes to increasing the number of hotels meeting international standards, improving service quality, and further developing the country's tourism potential. We are glad to contribute to the development of Uzbekistan's tourism by taking advantage of these opportunities," Bakanov said.

Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee S. Tadjiyev noted that the state policy supporting the hotel industry strengthens the country's investment attractiveness and tourism development.

"Such projects, implemented through a combination of state subsidies and investor initiatives, deliver a number of positive results for the country's economy: new jobs are created, local specialists are trained in accordance with international standards, and a competitive environment is formed in hotel services. The arrival of international brands such as DoubleTree by Hilton increases foreign investors' confidence in Uzbekistan's tourism potential," he said.

DoubleTree by Hilton is currently among ten five-star hotels operating in Uzbekistan.

Under the current state support program, subsidies are provided for new hotels put into operation by the end of 2026. Compensation amounts to 40 million soums per room for three-star hotels and 65 million soums per room for four- and five-star hotels.

Hotels that meet established requirements regarding category, capacity, and building height are eligible for subsidies.

The implementation of such projects contributes to the further development of the country's tourism infrastructure, higher service quality, international investment attraction, and the strengthening of Uzbekistan's position as one of the region's most promising tourism destinations.
