Uzbek Consulate Helps Stroke Patient Return from Almaty
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Consulate General of Uzbekistan has assisted an Uzbek citizen who suffered a stroke while working in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in returning to her homeland, Dunyo News Agency reported.
The diplomatic mission provided necessary consular and organizational support following an appeal regarding her severe condition. The Consulate General issued a return certificate to Uzbekistan and provided practical assistance in purchasing an airline ticket for the Almaty–Tashkent route.
In cooperation with competent law enforcement and migration authorities of Kazakhstan, her legal departure from the country was secured in accordance with established procedures.
The Consulate General also expressed gratitude to a Kazakh citizen who provided comprehensive assistance to the Uzbek national free of charge. She offered temporary housing, clothing, and food, and assisted with document processing and other social and domestic needs.
The diplomatic mission noted that the Consulate General will continue its work to protect the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens abroad, paying special attention to providing prompt assistance to compatriots in difficult life situations.
