Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in a meeting of experts from the customs services of CIS member states, held in Moscow on 11–12 August 2026.

The meeting was dedicated to preparations for the 83rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of CIS Member States, scheduled to be held in the Republic of Belarus in the second half of 2026.

In addition to representatives from Uzbekistan, specialists from the customs services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Uzbek delegation, alongside representatives from other states, exchanged experience and practical developments in customs administration, including issues related to the development of cross-border electronic commerce.

One of the key areas of discussion was the development of a mechanism for registering and identifying participants in foreign economic activity, taking international experience into account.

Participants also addressed the classification of specific goods in accordance with the unified Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the CIS, as well as the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between CIS customs services on simplifying transit transport.
