Uzbekistan Education Ministry Cancels 587m Soum Tender

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan has canceled a tender for service procurement valued at 587.2 million soums following a demand from the Competition Development Committee, which uncovered legal violations during the procurement process.

The review was launched after a social media post titled "One Address, One Phone Number — One Tender" was published. The committee examined compliance with legislative requirements in the competition for organizing centralized events, which was announced by the ministry on 27 July 2026 with an initial starting value of 587.2 million soums.

The review established that the procurement failed to comply with the requirements of Article 29 of the Law on Competition. According to the committee, actions were committed during the bidding process that restricted or had the potential to restrict competition.

In connection with the identified violations, the committee issued a demand to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education to observe legal standards. Following the demand, the tender was canceled in accordance with established procedures.
