Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, Ilkhom Makhkamov, held talks with Duyshenkul Chotonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation in the field of road and rail transport, emphasizing its key role in strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Particular attention was given to the implementation of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway project.

The discussion also covered the joint development of cargo transportation along the multimodal transport corridor Kashgar–Osh–Irkeshtam, which will be utilized until the railway’s construction is completed.
