Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has won its first medal at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said.
Khumoyunmirzo Khalimov became a silver medallist in the karate competition in the up to 55 kg weight category.
In the final bout, Khalimov lost to Zholaman Bigabil of Kazakhstan and won the silver medal.
The Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games are being held from 19 September to 4 October.
