Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The second round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan took place in Jordan’s capital.

The delegations were led by Bahromjon A’loev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Daifullo Ali Al-Fayez, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration Affairs of Jordan.

During the talks, both sides emphasized that the first official visit of King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan to Uzbekistan marked an important milestone, opening a new chapter in bilateral relations.

The participants reviewed the implementation of the tasks outlined in the “Roadmap” signed following the visit. Both parties reaffirmed their intention to intensify political dialogue, strengthen interparliamentary contacts, expand the legal and contractual framework, and deepen cooperation within international organizations.

Special attention was given to economic diplomacy, including increasing mutual trade, diversifying economic ties, and promoting joint investment projects.

The discussions also covered prospects for expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation, developing ties in education, science, and tourism, as well as current issues on the international and regional agenda.
