Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Courts in Uzbekistan reviewed 2,018 criminal cases involving violence and harassment against women in the first half of 2026, with 2,480 people involved in the cases, according to data from the Supreme Court.

Convictions were handed down in 1,215 cases involving 1,624 people.

Among those convicted, 84 were under the age of 18, 597 were aged 18 to 30, 893 were aged 31 to 60, and 50 were over 60. A total of 1,165 convicted people were unemployed.

The number of women recognised as victims in criminal cases involving violence and harassment reached 2,146 between January and June.

Of these women, 581 were under the age of 18, 654 were aged 18 to 30, 870 were aged 31 to 60, and 41 were over 60.

The Supreme Court’s data reflect the number of criminal cases reviewed by courts during the first half of the year and do not represent the total number of incidents of violence and harassment against women in Uzbekistan.
