Uzbekistan and Czech Republic Launch Medical Workforce Program
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic are moving forward with the implementation of a programme to train and employ Uzbek healthcare professionals in public and private medical institutions across the Czech Republic, Uzbekistan's Migration Agency said.
The initiative follows agreements reached during the visit of Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to Uzbekistan.
Following talks between Migration Agency Director Behzod Musaev, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Czech Republic and Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtěch, the sides agreed to launch a programme to prepare Uzbek medical professionals for work in the Czech Republic, with subsequent employment, including in skilled positions at public and private healthcare facilities.
The programme includes Czech language training, professional skills development, the creation of dual education programmes, and simplified procedures for the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications.
Implementation of the programme is scheduled to begin in September 2026.
