Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s National Agency for Social Protection held a meeting with representatives of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.

The participants discussed social support for the population, the allocation and provision of social benefits, as well as further improvements to the social insurance system.

During the meeting, representatives of the two countries exchanged experience on ongoing reforms and mechanisms introduced in the social protection sector. Particular attention was paid to the organization of social benefit payments and the functioning of the social insurance system.

The event also included presentations on existing social support and insurance mechanisms.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue cooperation, strengthen interaction in social protection and exchange best practices.
