Uzbek, Kyrgyz Presidents Discuss Joint Project Implementation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov on 24 July 2026. During the call, the heads of state discussed the further development of bilateral cooperation and preparations for an upcoming top-level summit.

Sadyr Japarov congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, well-being, continued success in state activities, as well as peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.

The President of Kyrgyzstan highly praised the reforms underway in Uzbekistan and noted Shavkat Mirziyoyev's personal contribution to strengthening relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between the two countries.

The leaders noted with satisfaction the positive momentum in mutually beneficial cooperation across all areas.

During the conversation, they emphasized that mutual trade continues to grow, industrial cooperation projects are being implemented—including with the involvement of the active Joint Fund—and practical work is ongoing on major regional infrastructure projects.

The presidents paid special attention to preparing the agenda for the upcoming top-level summit, focusing primarily on trade and economic cooperation issues.
