Injured Uzbek Citizen Repatriated From Türkiye After Car Crash

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An Uzbek citizen who sustained severe injuries in a road traffic accident in Türkiye has been returned to her home country with the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, the Migration Agency, and Uzbekistan Airways.

According to the Consulate General, the citizen, identified as N.A., had traveled to Türkiye for employment. During her stay in the country, she was involved in a traffic accident while traveling with her employer's family.

The woman sustained severe injuries in the crash. Turkish medical professionals performed surgery and provided the necessary medical care. Following the completion of her treatment, she was left without accommodation or financial resources, finding herself in a difficult situation.

To arrange her return to Uzbekistan, the Consulate General in Istanbul coordinated necessary measures alongside the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers and Uzbekistan Airways.

Despite receiving a "Fit to Fly" medical certificate confirming she was cleared for air travel, the passenger's health status required special attention. Consequently, Uzbekistan Airways staff ensured her safe transport in accordance with medical recommendations.
