Namangan Fleet Welcomes 12 New Chinese ANKAI Buses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Namangan has taken delivery of 12 new Chinese-manufactured ANKAI buses to serve the municipal Route 12 connecting Khanabad and Sherbulok. The city’s bus fleet is scheduled to receive an additional 18 such vehicles by the end of 2026.

According to the regional administration, the delivery was carried out under a contract between Malakali avtotrans servis LLC and the Chinese company ANKAI. The total value of the agreement is US$1.875 million.

An initial payment of 9 billion soums was made for the first batch of buses prior to their delivery to Namangan.

The new vehicles will operate on Route 12, which is used daily by approximately 7,100 passengers.

The Hokim of Namangan Region, Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, attended the commissioning ceremony, where the keys to the new buses were handed over to the drivers.

Local residents and veterans became the first passengers, completing a symbolic initial trip alongside the regional leader.

According to the regional administration, the modernization of the bus fleet is aimed at improving the quality of passenger transportation and creating more comfortable and safer conditions for the residents of Namangan.
