Uzbekistan Sells 175,374 Locally Produced Vehicles in H1

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A total of 175,374 locally assembled vehicles were sold on Uzbekistan's domestic market during January–June 2026, according to first-half statistics released by the Uzavtosanoat Association.

UzAuto Motors accounted for nearly half of all sales, delivering 81,210 vehicles from its Asaka plant, representing 46.3% of the market. UzAuto Khorezm, which produces the Damas and Labo commercial vehicle range, sold 54,862 vehicles, or 31.3% of the market. Together, the two UzAuto Group plants accounted for more than three-quarters of domestic vehicle sales.

ADM Jizzakh ranked third, selling 21,743 vehicles during the first six months of the year and capturing a 12.4% market share.

BYD Uzbekistan Factory sold 17,012 vehicles during the period, increasing its market share to 9.7%. Other manufacturers accounted for a relatively small share of sales, with Samarqand Avtomobil Zavodi selling 397 vehicles, or 0.2% of the market, and Asaka Motors selling 150 vehicles, or 0.1%.

The market structure by vehicle segment remained largely unchanged during the month. B-segment sedans accounted for 34.5% of all sales, while light commercial vehicles represented 31.4%. B-segment SUVs held a 22% share, followed by C-segment SUVs at 7%. C-segment sedans accounted for 3% of sales and D-segment models for 1.1%.

Chevrolet remained the dominant brand, with 136,072 vehicles sold since the beginning of the year. BYD ranked second with 17,010 vehicles, followed by Kia with 12,286. Chery sold 4,820 vehicles during the first half, while Haval sold 4,402. SamAuto recorded sales of 275 vehicles, followed by Changan with 235 and Hyundai with 150.

The Chevrolet Cobalt remained the best-selling model, with 40,936 sedans sold. The Damas ranked second with 34,286 units, followed by the Tracker with 20,274.

Among the top five models, the Labo overtook the Onix by the end of June, with sales of 19,723 and 19,595 vehicles respectively, a difference of 128 units.

The best-selling model outside the Chevrolet lineup was the Kia Sonet, with 9,653 vehicles sold. The 10 best-selling models also included the BYD Song Plus DM-i Uzpride hybrid with 5,630 units, the BYD Yuan-Up with 4,277, and the Chazor Champion with 3,771.

Other notable models included the Haval M6 with 2,095 vehicles sold, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro with 1,557, and the Haval Jolion with 1,480.
