Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — More than 3.5 million citizens of Uzbekistan travelled abroad for tourism purposes in the first half of 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The agency said the number of outbound tourist trips increased by 2,500 compared with the same period a year earlier.
Kyrgyzstan was the most popular destination for Uzbek travellers during the January–June period, attracting 1,547,589 visitors. Kazakhstan ranked second with 667,722 tourists, followed by Tajikistan with 619,515.
The top 10 destinations also included Russia with 183,759 visitors, Saudi Arabia with 153,591, Turkey with 127,241, the United Arab Emirates with 41,780, China with 36,502, Egypt with 25,905 and Vietnam with 23,409.
The statistics show that neighbouring Central Asian countries continued to account for the largest share of outbound travel from Uzbekistan, while Russia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey remained the most popular destinations beyond the region.
