Uzbek Foreign Minister Meets Kyrgyz President at SCO Event

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, along with heads of foreign ministry delegations from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), was received by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov on 24 July 2026.

During the meeting, the Uzbek delegation conveyed warm greetings from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz president.

The sides noted that the fraternal relations established between the leaders of the two states create a solid foundation for further strengthening bilateral cooperation across all areas.

Special attention was paid to Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the SCO. Participants in the meeting praised the work on preparing for the organization's upcoming summit in Bishkek.

Bakhtiyor Saidov emphasized that representatives of Uzbekistan actively participate in meetings of SCO bodies at various levels, as well as in conferences, forums, and other events held under the auspices of the organization.
