Uzbek, Russian Foreign Ministers Meet in Cholpon-Ata

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, on 24 July 2026. The talks took place on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.

During the meeting, the heads of the foreign ministries discussed pressing issues in bilateral relations and exchanged views on several regional and international agenda matters.

Following the talks, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia.

The meeting reportedly took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
