Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, children of teachers admitted to and studying at state higher education institutions in Uzbekistan will receive an annual discount of 30% on their tuition fees.
The procedure for providing the discount was approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 501 dated 17 September 2026.
The discount applies to children of teachers studying full-time bachelor’s degree programs at state higher education institutions.
The benefit does not apply to students of higher military and paramilitary educational institutions, as well as students of foreign universities operating in Uzbekistan and their branches.
The discount also does not apply to students studying under additional or differentiated tuition contracts, joint educational programs or at faculties of foreign partner universities, or at non-state higher education institutions.
If several children of the same teacher study at state universities on a fee-paying basis, the discount will be provided separately for each child.
To obtain a tuition contract, the teacher’s child must submit an application through the kontrakt.edu.uz system.
During the application review, the parent’s status as a teacher is verified through the interagency integration platform of the Digital Government system. Once the status is confirmed, the discount is applied automatically.
Applications are reviewed by the responsible institution within two working days. The discount is provided once during each academic year.
If the student’s father or mother loses teacher status, the discount will cease starting from the following academic year.
