Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent has established a new procedure for the transportation, placement and storage of vehicles detained for violations of legislation. The relevant regulation was approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 508 dated 22 September 2026.
The document sets out rules for moving detained vehicles to temporary storage locations, as well as procedures for their placement and storage at impound lots.
Under the regulation, after an authorized state body decides to place a vehicle in an impound lot, the relevant information is sent through the “Jarima maydonchasi” module to state bodies and legal entities providing vehicle storage services.
Vehicles belonging to individuals who have committed offenses for which they may be suspended from driving may be transported to an impound lot only using specialized equipment, such as a tow truck or vehicle loader.
Once the reasons for the detention have been resolved, authorization to remove the vehicle from the impound lot is issued through the “Jarima maydonchasi” module. The authorization is issued by officials of the body handling the administrative case.
The authorization must be issued electronically through the relevant module and confirmed with a QR code. Within one working day, it is sent through the system to the vehicle’s driver and the legal entity providing storage services. An SMS notification is also sent to the driver’s phone number.
The release of a detained vehicle from an impound lot on the basis of authorizations that were not issued through the “Jarima maydonchasi” module is prohibited.
