Shavkat Mirziyoyev takes a short-term leave

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has taken a short-term leave, according to a statement by the President’s Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov on his Telegram channel.

"From 6 January 2025, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been on a short-term working leave," Asadov noted.

The press secretary did not specify the duration of the president’s leave.

It is worth mentioning that the president also took short-term leaves in April and July 2024.
