Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has signed a memorandum of understanding with Chinese company CRRC Dalian to develop cooperation in railway transport and metro systems.
The agreement was signed by Uzbekistan's Ministry of Transport, state-owned railway company Uzbekistan Railways and CRRC Dalian.
The memorandum provides for cooperation on railway infrastructure and metro development, the procurement of modern rolling stock and the introduction of advanced technologies.
The parties also intend to cooperate in manufacturing and technical maintenance, exchange expertise and implement potential joint projects.
The announcement did not specify the value of the planned projects, the volume of rolling stock to be procured or the timetable for implementation.
