Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On the night of 3 September, a driver of a Cobalt vehicle collided at high speed with the automatic barrier at the entrance to Samarkand Airport, according to the regional Traffic Safety Department.
The incident occurred around 01:00 on Ibn Sino Street. Authorities report that the driver was speeding, lost control, hit a scooter, and then smashed into the barrier. Both the scooter driver and passenger sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Samarkand Police Department’s traffic accident division.
