Afghanistan asks Uzbekistan to help resolve fuel crisis

The official Afghanistan.ru website reports that the Afghan embassy in [the Uzbek capital of] Tashkent has asked the Uzbek government to help resolve the fuel crisis that has arisen in Afghanistan.

The report notes that the matter concerns [Uzbekistan’s] supplying 40,000 t of diesel oil and 5,000 t of liquefied gas [to Afghanistan] at reduced price, Uzbek Radio Poytakht-Inform reported on 18 September.
