Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Shafogat Rakhmatullaeva, the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, has passed away at the age of 83, as reported by the Ministry of Culture.

"Shafogat Rakhmatullaeva dedicated herself selflessly to the development of theater and cinema. She will forever remain in our hearts as a lively and sincere person," the statement reads.

Born on 4 January 1941, in Ferghana region’s Furkat district, Rakhmatullaeva graduated from the Kokan Women’s Pedagogical College, where she actively participated in the drama club, marking the beginning of her artistic journey.

The actress gained widespread recognition for her roles in films such as Scorpion from the Altar, On Foot, Sevginator, and many others. Her talent and dedication to the arts were highly valued, and in 1992, she was honored with the title of People’s Artist of Uzbekistan.
