Pakistan, Uzbekistan should develop direct communication links to improve trade

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan and Pakistan should focus on establishing direct rail and air links that would go a long way towards improving trade activities, Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways (PR) Khawaja Saad Rafique said during his meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Furkat Sidikov.

According to the Pakistani media, the sides agreed on necessity to boost mutual cooperation.

Pakistan official noted that that direct communication links, besides improving trade activities, would promote people-to-people contacts.

The sides discussed cooperation on upgrading railway infrastructure and training railway specialists.
