Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — England won the bronze medal at the FIFA World Cup after defeating France 6-4 in the third-place playoff in Miami.
England established a commanding lead before halftime through goals from Declan Rice, Ezri Konsa and Bukayo Saka, who scored twice in the opening half.
France reduced the deficit after the break with goals from Kylian Mbappe, Bradley Barcola and another from Mbappe, but England held on to secure victory.
Saka completed his hat-trick late in the match, while Jude Bellingham scored England's sixth goal in stoppage time. Ousmane Dembele also found the net for France in the closing minutes.
Argentina and Spain will meet in the World Cup final on 19 July. Argentina are the defending world champions.
