Tashkent to Impose Five-Day Traffic Restrictions
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect on several roads in Tashkent from 18 to 22 July due to the construction of an overpass at the intersection of the D-002 and D-021 roads and road reconstruction works, the relevant authorities said.
On the 6th kilometre of the D-012 Bektemir–Chirchiq–Charvak road in Bektemir District, freight traffic heading toward the Iyk-ota residential area will be restricted. Heavy vehicles are advised to use the Rokhat interchange as a detour.
In addition, all traffic will be completely closed on the 2nd kilometre of the D-012 road in the direction of the Food City shopping complex. A detour has been arranged via Furkat Street and the bypass road in Bektemir District.
Temporary restrictions will also affect the D-021 road, where traffic will be closed on the section between the Kipchak and Surum intersections in Yangihayot District.
Traffic will also be restricted on the D-002 road near its intersection with the Parkent Highway in Bektemir District.
Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance, use the designated detours, and follow temporary road signs and instructions from traffic police officers.
