Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A new Visa Lounge business lounge has opened at Tashkent International Airport. The facility was created by SKYSERV in cooperation with Visa and DragonPass, Uzbekistan Airports said.
The new lounge resulted from the reconstruction of the former Anor business lounge. Following an open tender on the E-auksion electronic platform, SKYSERV was selected as the operator of the facility. During the reconstruction, the space was nearly doubled, while its layout, design and concept were completely updated. International partners Visa and DragonPass subsequently joined the project.
The new Visa Lounge covers 651 square meters and can accommodate up to 150 passengers at a time.
The lounge includes several areas designed for both relaxation and work. Passengers have access to ergonomic seating, a work area, private and quiet spaces, sleeping pods, a mini cinema and individual shower rooms.
A separate playroom is available for passengers traveling with children. The lounge also has an isolated smoking area.
Guests can choose from a range of dishes and snacks, as well as a wide selection of beverages.
Through cooperation with DragonPass, members of the international program can use the Visa Lounge in accordance with the applicable service terms.
The lounge also serves passengers of several international airlines, including Oman Air, Etihad Airways, Aeroflot and Azerbaijan Airlines. Access for customers of these carriers is provided in accordance with the airlines’ current terms and agreements.
“It is important for Tashkent International Airport that infrastructure development is accompanied by improvements in passenger services. Following the reconstruction, we have a more spacious and functional facility that meets modern comfort requirements. I am confident that Visa Lounge will become an important part of the airport’s service infrastructure,” Uzbekistan Airports said.
The opening of the new business lounge marks another stage in the development of passenger infrastructure at Tashkent International Airport and expands options for passengers seeking greater comfort before departure.
