Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A tax debt of 3.2 billion soums imposed on S.Q.M LLC in Ferghana region following an unlawful repeat inspection has been canceled. The official who conducted the inspection was subjected to an administrative penalty, the Business Ombudsman said.

The case was reviewed following an appeal by the company’s head through the 1100 hotline. The investigation found that S.Q.M LLC had already been inspected in December 2023 by the Eastern Regional Department of the Inspectorate for Control in the Mining Industry and Geology.

Despite the earlier inspection, an inspector subsequently reviewed the company’s activities for 2020-2025. According to the Business Ombudsman, the official violated the time limits for control measures established by an order.

The repeat inspection resulted in a tax debt of 3.2 billion soums being imposed on the company.

An administrative fine of 40 basic estimated values was imposed on the official responsible for the violation.

The Tashkent Interdistrict Administrative Court, after reviewing the case materials, ruled that the actions of the inspectorate officials were unlawful and canceled the inspection report.

As a result, the 3.2 billion soum tax debt imposed on S.Q.M LLC following the inspection was canceled.
