Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Cobalt became the most-produced passenger car in Uzbekistan over the 2020-2026 period, including January-July 2026. In earlier years, Nexia and Nexia 3 were predominantly the production leaders.
According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan produced 263,731 passenger cars of various brands in January-July 2026. Cobalt accounted for 91,140 units, followed by Damas with 47,521 and Tracker with 25,779.
In 2025, Cobalt production reached 161,152 vehicles. Damas ranked second with 93,681 units, while Tracker was third with 50,362. A year earlier, Cobalt also led production with 164,887 vehicles, compared with 101,912 Damas and 45,918 Tracker.
In 2023, 118,093 Cobalt vehicles were produced, ahead of Damas at 89,154 and Gentra at 82,133. In 2022, production totaled 101,617 Cobalt vehicles, 87,105 Damas and 72,235 Gentra.
Cobalt retained the top position in 2021 with 71,082 vehicles. Damas followed with 55,068 and Gentra with 51,061. In 2020, Cobalt also led production with 79,908 vehicles, followed by Nexia 3 with 66,402 and Damas with 51,692.
In 2019, Nexia 3 ranked first with 73,151 vehicles, while Cobalt production totaled 56,211 and Damas production stood at 51,824. Nexia 3 also led in 2018 with 59,343 vehicles, ahead of Cobalt at 37,626 and Damas at 34,618.
In 2017, Nexia 3 had the highest production volume at 34,544 vehicles, followed by Damas with 22,496 and Spark with 22,360.
In 2016, Nexia led production with 19,018 vehicles. Spark production reached 17,735, while Damas production totaled 16,817.
Nexia again ranked first in 2015 with 47,224 vehicles, followed by Gentra with 39,532 and Cobalt with 27,255.
In 2014, Cobalt led production with 61,189 vehicles. Nexia ranked second with 58,751, while Gentra ranked third with 46,397.
Cobalt also had the highest production volume in 2013, with 60,412 vehicles, followed by Nexia with 59,709 and Matiz with 31,205.
In 2012, Nexia remained the production leader with 83,573 vehicles, followed by Matiz with 55,443 and Spark with 33,027. In 2011, Nexia again ranked first with 86,200 vehicles, ahead of Matiz with 57,775 and Spark with 28,973.
In 2010, Nexia had the highest production volume at 87,100 vehicles. Matiz ranked second with 72,999 units, while Lacetti ranked third with 23,917.
