Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan carried out 259.4 trillion soums worth of construction work in January–August 2026, up 11.8% compared with the same period last year.

Tashkent led the country by construction work volume, accounting for 88.7 trillion soums.

Tashkent region ranked second with 24.1 trillion soums, followed by Ferghana region with 15.4 trillion soums and Bukhara region with 14.7 trillion soums.

Construction work in Kashkadarya region reached 12.8 trillion soums, while Samarkand region recorded 12.6 trillion soums and Andijan region 12.3 trillion soums.

Khorezm region carried out 11.8 trillion soums worth of construction work, followed by Namangan region with 11.7 trillion soums and Navoi region with 11 trillion soums.

The volume reached 10.7 trillion soums in Surkhandarya region and 8.9 trillion soums in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The lowest figures were recorded in Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions, at 6.2 trillion soums and 5.3 trillion soums, respectively.
