Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The modernization of public transport in Namangan is continuing, with the number of modern buses in the city reaching 130.

Under Presidential Resolution No. PP-59 dated 16 February 2023, entrepreneurs imported 108 modern buses to Namangan. Passenger services were organized using these vehicles on 10 routes under a gross-contract system.

The share of environmentally friendly transport is also increasing. In particular, Firdavs trans servis LLC purchased 12 Yutong buses. According to the regional administration, the move created more than 25 new jobs.

A presentation of the new buses was held with the participation of Namangan Region Governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, heads of law enforcement agencies and responsible representatives of relevant organizations.

During the event, participants reviewed the new vehicles, their technical specifications and passenger facilities. They also discussed issues related to operating the buses on urban routes.

In September, another 10 modern Zhongtong electric buses were put into service by Turon-95 MBI LLC.

The modernization of Namangan’s bus fleet is therefore continuing through the introduction of modern and environmentally friendly vehicles.
