Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Namangan Region Hokim Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov met with Lu Weisi, Shanghai Construction Group's deputy general director for Central Asia, to discuss prospects for investment projects in road construction, transport infrastructure and the construction sector, the Namangan regional hokimiyat said.
The meeting addressed the modernization of the region's road and transport infrastructure, the construction and reconstruction of roads, and the introduction of modern technologies and the use of international experience.
The sides exchanged views on opportunities to implement major road-sector projects based on modern approaches.
Shanghai Construction Group is a major international construction company with experience in construction and engineering, infrastructure and urban development.
The meeting noted that projects aimed at improving Namangan region's transport infrastructure and enhancing the quality and capacity of its roads are important for further increasing the region's investment attractiveness.
Following the talks, the sides agreed to jointly develop prospective projects, explore investment opportunities and move cooperation toward practical implementation.
