Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved an agreement with Spain on the mutual exemption of diplomatic passport holders from visa requirements. The relevant resolution was adopted on 11 September 2026.

The agreement between Uzbekistan and Spain was signed in Madrid on 7 April 2026.

Under the resolution, Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been designated as the responsible authority for implementing the international agreement.

Once the agreement enters into force, the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of the relevant ministries and agencies must ensure compliance with its provisions in accordance with established procedures.
