Mirziyoyev Congratulates Meloni on Historic Achievement

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, congratulating her on a historic achievement — becoming the longest-serving head of government in Italy.

The Uzbek president noted that the achievement reflects the high level of trust placed by the Italian people in Meloni’s political will, determination and sense of state responsibility.

Particular attention in the letter was given to the Italian prime minister’s efforts to protect the country’s national interests and strengthen its authority and influence within the European Union and on the international stage amid a complex and rapidly changing global situation.

Mirziyoyev also expressed appreciation to Meloni for her friendly attitude toward Uzbekistan and attention to the consistent expansion of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

The president emphasized that Uzbekistan highly values its strategic partnership with Italy. According to Mirziyoyev, political dialogue, trade and economic and investment cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries are steadily expanding, gaining new substance and reaching a qualitatively new level.
