Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan Tourism Committee Chairman Abdulaziz Akkulov met with Bahrain's Minister of Tourism Fatima Al-Sairafi in the United Arab Emirates. The sides discussed expanding tourism cooperation, increasing mutual tourist flows and developing direct contacts between industry representatives.
The participants agreed to establish regular exchanges of information on marketing research, statistics and key trends aimed at increasing mutual tourist flows.
Particular attention was paid to establishing direct air links between Tashkent and Manama.
The sides also agreed to continue organizing reciprocal information and press tours for representatives of the tourism industry and media outlets.
The Bahraini side was invited to participate in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road”, which will be held in Tashkent on 25–27 November.
The sides also discussed participation in events dedicated to proclaiming 2027 as the International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism.
