Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Two deputy hokims have been appointed in Namangan region, the information service of the Namangan regional hokimiyat said.
Khondamir Akhunbabaev has been appointed deputy hokim responsible for tourism, culture, cultural heritage and mass communications. Azizbek Abdusalomov has been appointed deputy hokim responsible for agriculture and water management, while also taking charge of the regional Agriculture Department.
Akhunbabaev was born in 1989 in Namangan. He has a higher education degree and graduated from the Namangan Engineering-Pedagogical Institute in 2013.
He began his career in 2012 as a chief specialist at the Namangan regional hokimiyat's Computerization Centre.
He subsequently served as head of the territorial administration department of the State Investment Committee in Namangan region; head of the foreign economic activity department and head of production at the joint venture Aisha Home Textile; head of the territorial industrial development department at the regional Investment, Industry and Trade Department; and deputy head of the Namangan regional Investment, Industry and Trade Department and head of its Project Office.
Before his appointment, Akhunbabaev headed the state institution Directorate of the Namangan Free Economic Zone.
Abdusalomov was born on 17 April 1992 in Mingbulak district. He has a higher education degree. The source states that he graduated from the Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology during 2017–2024. His qualifications are process engineer and economist.
Abdusalomov began his career at the Azizbek Abdusalomov farming enterprise in Mingbulak district. He later served as chairman of the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms and Homestead Landowners of Mingbulak district, deputy chairman and acting chairman of the regional council, and chairman of the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms and Homestead Landowners of Namangan region.
He also headed the Namangan regional Agriculture Department.
Before his latest appointment, Abdusalomov served as first deputy hokim of Mingbulak district responsible for finance, economics and poverty reduction, while also heading the district Department of Economics and Finance.
Both appointments were formalized through decisions by the hokim of Namangan region.
