Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and India discussed prospects for cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, including the transfer of advanced technologies, production localisation and the implementation of joint projects, the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry said.
Agency Director Abdullo Azizov held a meeting with representatives of Indian pharmaceutical company Precise Group.
During the talks, the sides discussed the possibility of transferring advanced pharmaceutical technologies to Uzbek companies and introducing them at local production facilities. They also considered prospects for launching new manufacturing projects.
Particular attention was paid to involving domestic pharmaceutical companies in cooperation with Precise Group, localising production and implementing joint initiatives.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to identify Uzbek pharmaceutical companies interested in Precise Group’s technologies and production areas and then organise direct negotiations between the companies.
